Each course has pre-requisite, requirement, and student is expected to take these courses as well, if they have no prior knowledge of Human Anatomy and Physiological Functions or Ayurveda. Foundation Course in Ayurveda. 50 hours (Transferable credits)

Residential Degree in Ayurvedic Nutrition and Dietititics -

In this course, taught on campus in Escondido, or, Los Angeles locations, you will not only revisit principles of Nutrition from a western perspective, but also from the perspective of Ayurvedic Nutrition and Dietitics. You will learn about the Foundation principles of Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Anatomy, Samkhya Philosophy, Six tastes, Dinacharya, Ritucharya, Ayurvedic Nutrition, Diet Planning, A little about Ayurvedic Herbs, their preparation, uses, dosages and how they corelate to dinacharya (daily routine), lifestyle and Diet. Hence, principles of Ayurvedic Dietitics and Nutrition will also be studied.

1. Knowledge of Ayurvedic Dietitics for Kapha, Pitta and Vata
2. Knowledge of Ayurvedic Spices and Herbs - their rasa, virya, vipaka
4. Preparation of Ayurvedic Food for Kapha, Pitta and Vata
5. Preparation of Herbal Oils, Mixes and Herbs for Supplements.
6. Cooking for Children, Elder People and those rejuvenating from illness, post partum, digestive issues, asthma, cold and sinus issues.Monica Bhatia, PHD, CMT

2. Final Assessment would include independent case study, a research thesis with 10 patients. Research forms will be provided

Online Associate Degree in Ayurvedic Herbology -500 Hrs

In this course, you will not only revisit principles of Ayurveda from a pharmocological perspective but also delve deep into Ayurvedic Herbs, their preparation, uses, dosages and how they corelate to dinacharya (daily routine), lifestyle and Diet. Hence basic principles of Ayurvedic Dietitics and Nutrition will also be studied. Curriculum will include:

1. Knowledge of Ayurvedic Dietitics for Kapha, Pitta and Vata
2. Knowledge of Ayurvedic Anatomy (Three doshas, Seven Dhatus and the 24 Elements as well as the six 'tastes')
3. Knowledge of Ayurvedic Plants and Herbs

5. Preparation of Herbal Oils, Mixes and Herbs for Supplements.
6. Preparation of Ghritams, Arishtams, Infusions, Decoctions, Churnams, Ayurvedic Jams

Blended (online and classrrom) Associate Degree in Ayurvedic Health Education - 500 Hrs

Pre Requisites - 100 Hrs Foundation course in Ayurvedic Health Education with 20 hour virtual classroom(IAH 101)

The residential course subscribes to National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) standards, since, it includes 300 hours of core curriculum in contact classes, and, all required peripheral courses. (The live classrooms are only available in San Diego and Los Angeles college location.)

In this level the student also does Sanskrit, Samkhya Philosophy, Jyotish, Yoga Therapy and Bhakti Yoga as well as Ayurvedic Nidan, and Cikitsa principles comprehensively (300 hrs core curriculum contact classes/virtual classes/ internship/externship, 30 hrs distant learning, 70 Hrs Research/Internship or Externship and submission of Final Case Studies
