Synopsis

The student will be able to list the three doshas, location of sub doshas, their function, and their importance. The student shall understand Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas-functional and structural differences and will be able to use this to fill a dosha assessment form. for different populations

Lesson Outline:

Lesson 1 Introduction to Doshas, Dhatus, Malas and Srotas

Students can list the 3 Doshas, the 15 sub doshas, their mahabhutas, their sthanams and list the mahabhutas that balance them.
Students are able to list the 7 dhatus
Students are able to define and list the importance of the three malas.
Students are ablet to list the srotas. Focus on Annavaha Srotas, and, Artavavaha srotas.

Lesson 2 Location, Function of 5 sub doshas of vata, Pitta and Kapha
Students can list, locate, tell the functions, and directions of the the five sub doshas of Vata.
Dosha Pathology- What happens when the Vata dosha increases in its own sthanam.
Students can list, locate, tell the functions of the five sub doshas of Pitta.
Dosha Pathology- What happens when the Pitta dosha increases in its own sthanam.
Students can list, locate, tell the functions of the five sub doshas of Kapha.
Dosha Pathology- What happens when the dosha increases in its own sthanam.

Lesson 3 Different Types of Prakrti and Vikrti
Students are introduced to different types of Prakrtis
Students are introducto to different types of Vikrtis

Lesson 4 Threefold Biofeedback- Darshanam, Sparshanam, Prashanam
Students are introduced to observation and Darshana during internship
Students are introduced to nadi and/or marma sparsha during internship
Students demonstrate the biofeedback (online, or, in person)
Students are able to fill questionnaires for Prakrti, Vikrti and Agni for themselves (Onsite, or, in person)

Lesson 5 Rugna Patrakama (Client Assessment Form)
Students are able to create questionnaires for prakrti, vikrti and agni OR for women imbalances for their client and have them filled.

Lesson 6 Malas and 3 types of Ama; manifestation, aggravation and support
